You're a runner who specializes in trails and very long distances. This year, you decided you're going to enter the Barkley Marathons, an ultra marathon trail race of 100 miles held in Tennessee, at the Frozen Head State Park. It only accepts 40 participants each year, and you were chosen this year because of your reputation in this kind of races.

The list of participants is supposed to be confidential, but another runner, who is also a famous influencer, got access to it. He has been advertising his participation, saying he will crush the competition and break the race time record, and even got some sponsors. He is worried that you will take the spotlight from him, so he calls you and tries to convince you not to run or at least not to do a very good time, offering some money. You laugh and say he should save his money for energetic bars, wish him good luck and hang up the phone.

Now, it's the day of the race, you get there and see all the apparatus surrounding the influencer. You go to the starting line, look at him and he makes the knife on the neck gesture, which you disregard. The race starts and you quickly get to the front, with the other fast runners. After 15 miles, you accelerate and take the lead. You keep gaining distance to the other runners and, after 40 miles, no one can see you anymore. You manage your effort pretty well, stopping for eating, drinking and taking care of your needs at the right times and in an efficient way.

Close to the 90th mile, when you're pretty sure you're going to win, you see a wooden hut next to the road. You're looking at it when you feel something covering your body. It's a large and heavy net, which makes you stop. While you try to get rid of it, 3 guys come, pick you up still trapped inside the net and take you inside the hut.

They carry you up the stairs and remove the net, but 2 of them hold your arms and handgag you, while the other one ties your arms behind the back and your chest. They sit you on a chair and tie your right foot to your left leg and your left foot the chair. Then, they shove a sock into your mouth, wrap it with duct tape and cover everything with 2 white cloths. One of them says: "You should have taken the money, kid, it would have been easier for everyone. But hey, the upside of all of this is that now you can rest while everyone else is suffering outside.". He and another guy leave and the third one sits on a chair looking at you.

You spend the next 8 hours there and are released after everyone has either finished or abandoned the race, just to find out that the influencer was the winner.
