Simple ref is simple. C: I made this be cause I utterly HATE Panda's old ref. The anatomy's just so terrible, and and and...it's just so...uuhhhh. XD I think you get that I don't like it. But any ways. This is a less embarrassing example of my art to show to people if I wanted them to draw Panda. So, uh yeah... I don't really know what else to say. :/ Feel free to critique on anatomy. Pointers are always welcomed.I will love you forever if you daw him! <3

Thank you so much for the critique! I see wheat you mean by him needing a longer torso. I've noticed recently how compact my creatures are and am trying to work on it. (: Limbs are very difficult for me, so they are very stiff. I've been looking at a lot of pictures trying to get better at capturing the lose feel on the legs (mostly the back ones) because it would give him more running power. Thank you again for the critique! It really helped! C:

I used to make my creatures have way too long back so I can relate to that issue. xD It takes some times to get used to drawing the bodies differently but I bet you'll do just fine with them.
And the legs. Yep, they can be hard to master(took me a VERY long time to get to this point and I still have much to learn) but just keep up and you'll get better before you'll even notice!

Oh, actually this design is very very old and retired. Β So old that the character's name isn't even technically Panda, so I don't think he'd fit into your project. Β That's really cool though! Β And I would have been honored to have been a part of it.

Well by looking at your gallery, it looks like you're on the right track as far as anatomy goes. C: You're better at people than me, that's for sure! If you want to get Panda's anatomy, it'd be good to look at pictures of cheetahs. Don't reference this picture too heavily though. The anatomy's not that great in it and I wouldn't want you to learn quadrupedal anatomy from me the wrong way. (:

Except maybe the back. I feel like...it's not as graceful, sleek, and curved as it could be.
There are some inconsistencies, like the ears and legs. The ears seem too far apart, judging by the perspective of the legs, you know?

Yeah, I know about the legs. They're too stiff. They need to be a lot looser, so that he has more power to run. I just can't seem to get them right. I'm working on them though. C:
