Description For my Halloween offering to DA, I present my OC, Rhonda Roykirk being stalked by a homicidal clown.  I decided on a psychotic clown for this year's Halloween addition to my gallery based on the movie "IT" which features a killer clown known as "Pennywise."  As I boy, I used to like clowns, especially Bozo the Clown, but now as an adult I find, as do most people, that clowns are just plain creepy.  The face and makeup of the maniac clown shown here was inspired by the serial killer, John Wayne Gacy, also known as the "Killer Clown," who sodomized, tortured and murdered an estimated 33 teenage boys and young men in Cook County, Illinois between 1972 and 1978, all while maintaining a respectable facade as a contractor who occasionally dressed as "Pogo the Clown" and entertained at Democrat fundraisers and children's parties.  When Gacy was being interviewed by detectives, he was once quoted as saying, "Clowns can get away with murder."  As for Rhonda, though she seems nervous, not to worry, as many of you who make up my fanbase know, she is more than capable of taking care of herself.  Plus, she has friends.  Incidentally, this artwork can also be seen in vladen13's Hunters Moon Halloween Fest gallery.  Please check it out. (medium: pen and ink, Sketchbook digital painting app.)

And you can clearly see why in this pic.  It's funny, but as a kid I used to like clowns, like Bozo the Clown for example.  But now, as an adult, I find clowns just plain creepy, as does Rhonda.  Thanks for your comment.

In Kansas City, they had a local TV character called Whizzo.  He came once to my grade school.

Hell no!  He was funny as all get-out.  Had his own TV show that I used to watch.

This was long before people started popularizing clowns as demonic creatures.

That's essentially true in the modern sense.  However, there were scary clowns going all the way back to medieval Europe.  There were jester-like clowns who made nobles and commoners laugh, and there were scary clowns who portrayed Satan and demons in medieval passion plays.  There is even a psychological term for an irrational fear of clowns; coulrophobia.

I heard that clowns got their start during the days of the Black Death.  They would dress up in shabby clothes and coat their faces with ashes to give the appearance of death, then try to make those who were dying a last laugh before going out the door.

That's strictly an urban myth.  During the Black Death, men who performed as clowns were dying just as rapidly as the general populace.  Nobles were fleeing to their country estates and entire villages and towns were soon empty of people.  Believe me, during that time, nobody was in the mood to laugh.

No, I haven't seen that film and have no intention of seeing it as I hate films with homicidal clowns.  Another such film that I haven't seen and refuse to see is "IT," based on the novel by Stephan King.

Everybody else who has commented on this Halloween pic has expressed pretty much the same sentiments.  And yes, our homicidal clown will not have an easy victim in Rhonda.  Thank you for your comment.

Rhonda is not in the habit of carrying nunchucks with her everywhere.  Besides, she is more than capable of handling any attacker bare-handed.

The scenario is right there. The killer clown is right hunting her down
Coming to kill her. Yet she would have been given a set of magic ✨🎩✨ nun-chucks to ensure the clown defeat. The instructions for the ritual of Chad would be on the Nun-chucks.

Ok. I spoke of the ritual of chud because this is how the monster it
Aka Pennywise the clown was defeated. I look it up on the Steve king fan club site

I've had other comments about Rhonda along the same lines.  However, if you look closely, her hairstyle is very different from Daphne's.  Also, Rhonda is older than Daphne, being in her late twenties.  And her eyes are rounder and further apart than Daphne's.  Rhonda would also be at least ten inches taller than Daphne.  And so, I hope I've cleared things up about the differences between Rhonda and Daphne.  Thank you for your comment.

Rhonda certainly looks scared which is unusual for her confident take charge personality so this is one time she realizes is serious maybe above her martial arts skill. Of course if she is in danger I think Stew would be there or even both her skilled friends Lois & Alice so it can't be that bad. Though if it's a Halloween thing it could be supernatural in nature so martial arts taelnt just might be thrown out the window. Next question might be who to call as they wonder wonder where Scooby Do is lol.

Mister Mike, you really have an artist's mind as well as terrific creativity and of course Rhonda being her usual gorgeous self this can easily have a sequel or several sequels where we all would thoroughly enjoy your artwork and brilliant mind of yours. Thank you and vladen13 for posting this. ciao!! Steve

Thank you most kindly.  What I wanted to show here is that just because Rhonda is a hotshot martial artist, it doesn't mean she can't be scared.  And it is well known that women feel fear greater than men.  And yes, Stuart would be right there to protect Rhonda should the need arise, which would be okay with her.  Thank you kindly for your comment.

The space left at the top suggest a headline or the like, like a poster.
It's not usual to see Rhonda in a "distressed" expression. I like it. Well done.

"Hey! What's all this fake blood gunk you're getting all over my window?" *asskicking* - is how this encounter probably went...

Did you know there's a word for fear of clowns? 'Coulrophobia'.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kiff57krocker In reply to El-ManTTP [2017-10-08 22:09:24 +0000 UTC]

Thank you kindly for your comment.  As for "asskicking," yes that would be the final outcome of an encounter between Rhonda and a homicidal clown.  And yes, I know that "coulrophobia" is the psychological term for an irrational fear of clowns, which to me is quite understandable as I've always found clowns to be on the creepy side, especially the villainous clowns in many horror movies and stories.
