My entry to the contest of #shoujokawaii ~ =3Yeaaaaah. XD I'm actually proud cuz the guy looks almost like a guy! It' better than a feminine guy! Yay, improvement XD
Yeah. He is blond, she is... Pink? XD Anyways, that's all cuz of ice-cream: I love Vanilla and Strawberry together~ =3
The background is horrible... At least the swirls save it a bit... XD

Hmm... For the sketch, I just use a pencil and an eraser, but when I do the outline, I use 0.5 markers of different colors (like, beige, red, blue, orange...) so the outline won't look dirty and will blend with the colors. When I color I use color pencils (good quality XD), sometimes I use markers, for backgrounds mainly, and white-gel-paint Posca marker for the little white dots on the cheeks, the eyes... The white spots are just ... corrector? In French we call them Blanco XD

It's pretty good. You should practice drawing bodies more though. Perhaps still life? Sketching people correctly does wonders to your art if you can do it right.

Yes. By drawing still life and doing it correctly, it can help your ability to draw other things later on. My art teacher started most of us off first with vases to sketch and then draw with color pencil. Eventually once you sketch skills become better you can try drawing statues.
