Description
The great battle between Samus and Mother Brain. I've changed it a little, 'cause I liked the Metroid Zero Mission idea that Samus stands on top of a pillar that's coming out of the lava. In the '86 game, Samus stands on a ledge where a Zebetite (protective gate) had been.Galaxy Federal Police M510:
Defeat the Metroid of the planet Zebeth, and destroy the Mother Brain, the mechanical life vein...

Yes Mother Brain's size was a little too large in this one. this is one of my very first Metroid pictures I made, and there are many flaws, like the color of the pillar Samus stands on and the wrong arm for her cannon (haha, silly me). Around this time, I had only played Metroid Prime, and I was a fan, instantly. So I saw some pics on the internet about this fight, and drew it from memory.

Thanks, there are many flaws in this one. This was one of the first Devs I made. I made it when I finished my first Metroid game (Metroid Prime) a few years after it came out. After playing that, I thought Metroid was the greatest series of games ever. I knew of her fight with Mother Brain from the original, and saw some art. From (vague) memory, I drew this pic. That's why Mother's too big, the arm-cannon is on her left hand, and the area is brown xD.

Epic brain o_o The eye-to-everything else ratio for Mother Brain makes it look all the more creepy. Very nice work. Also, the effect on the glass is pretty cool too. Samus looks a little bit off though. She looks a bit too 2D and her left shoulder looks squished. It's not terribly distracting though.

Nah, she's not that bad. Her pose seems appropriate considering how massive Mother Brain is in this picture. It looks like her body is turned the right way too. Perspective is a tricky thing to convey. Just her body shape is a bit wonky. It seems like it was one of those things that didn't look too bad in pencil, but the markers brought it out more.
