Happy 20th Anniversary Pokemon!
I wanted to upload this earlier, but for some reason, DeviantART wouldn’t save my description no matter how many times I tried! D:
Anyway, I wanted to draw something in honour of Pokemon’s 20th, so I drew the final evolutions (plus Pikachu) of the very first starter Pokémon from R/B/Y/G.
The first Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Yellow (of course!) and Pikachu was my very first starter Pokemon (which is why I included him in this picture). Blastoise is actually my favourite Pokemon, but Pikachu is one of my favourites too.
I can’t believe Pokemon has been popular for this many years. I guess some things never get old lol.

Woah, I love this!! It's really beautiful how they're all in natural settings (a weakness for me, when it comes to pokemon art, haha). Blastoise's area looks particularly special, I love how the background fades away. Squirtle was my first pokemon, so Big Blasty will always have a special place in my heart! I'm happy to hear he's loved by others, too!
And, of course, I've got a huge soft spot for Pika, and these two snoozy mice are too cute. I wonder if they're wild pokemon, or a trainer's and just resting in the shade!

I also like seeing Pokémon in their natural habitats. It's fun to imagine where they'd live, and I really like drawing backgrounds.
Haha I like Big Blasty as a nickname! Blastoise and Pikachu are two of my top three favourite Pokémon, so I probably paid extra attention to their scenes lol.
As for whether they're wild or not... I'm not too sure! I guess that's up to the viewer haha. Maybe they are, or maybe it's like one of those short Pikachu movies where they run off and find a place to play. Idk lol
