It’s my birthday today and we’re less than $1000 away from unlocking the second Purrmaid plush: the Siamese Betta Purrmaid, so my birthday wish is WE MAKE IT BY MIDNIGHT!

You could use satin to make it! I was going to do a plush sphynx once and was planning to use satin and silver lamé.

Thanks. It was going to be a "therapy" project after I had a very bad dream about a sphynx cat. It was so bad I was thinking about it for like a week or two after I had it and really upset. I just reinvented the story where the cat was saved and turned her into an OC to use in RP's.

hello! So a friend of mine just referred me to your page, and I just wanted to say that I actually have my own species called purrmaids as well. I'm hoping you won't take offense to it, I'm really sorry, I didn't realize it was already a species! I'm not trying to infringe on any copyrights you may have, and I hope your species continues to do well! I just wanted to let you know that I have characters that are similar creatures with the same species name. Is that alright with you? Is there anything you want me to change?

MY EXACT DESIGN of Purrmaids are currently being Copyrighted, but I do not and cannot own the concept of mermaid cats. The ONLY issue I could possibly imagine is if you tried to mass market a plush of a very similar design using the word Purrmaid that was clearly derived from me, but that's rather specific
I don't know if you use Twitter or Tumblr, but please link me to any drawings you've done of other Purrmaids and let me know if I may reblog them 
Thanks so much for checking with me, but as a bit of a pro-tip, ABSOLUTE originality isn't really a thing, and you'll always find SOMETHING with similarities -_^ As long as you know, in good conscious, you were designing things on your own, you're fine. In fact, even inspired things are OK as long as there are enough differences for the new item to be entirely your own! Keep drawing and designing and have fun! The one design element that catches my eye the most in this, somehow, is their wee little X-shaped belly buttons. It's such a simple touch but it really adds a touch of fun to these little guys.
Also the Bombangler's design makes me laugh. 50% of its body is mouth!
