It's interesting to note that the little guy is free but the big tiger is behind bars. Very well done! You should write and illustrate a children's book.

I HAVE illustrated several, and working on a fully illustrated one written by me, so YAY!
And yeah, the cage adds a whole new level, so my imaginary story, here, is that the tiger escapes and lives life in the wild with little kitten.

I remember a story from when I was small. When I saw your picture in the thumbs, i thought of it instantly. But it seems your story is different, as the small character is also a feline.
In my story, there was this huge cougar in a cage and he had a friend, a small bird. And the cougar cried in the night because he wished to be free like the bird. So the bird brought his bird food to the cougar. And the more the cougar ate the bird food, the more he turned into a bird. So he was small enough to pass through the bars and then they flew off together :3

This piece has nothing to do with whether or not circuses are evil (which they are) and is more about capturing feelings and shapes of an illustration style I grew up with.
That said, I'm leaving this an open ended story, so the kitten can grow up to be big and smart and let the tiger out, too.
