Inspired by one of the concept design of Paul Lasaine (The Art of Rise of the Guardians by Dreamworks Animation).Just an excuse for practicing with Photoshop brushes aaaand... It actually was a total fail rotfl. But i kinda like the way the background turned out.
The man you can see in the distance is probably a modernAU!Hiccup. Probably, idk. For those who don't like Frostcup, you can see him as an older Jamie too, lol.

I really like the brush style that you went with. It really gives the grass a lot more color and detail. As well as the frost, the trees, the fallen log, everything. Now Jack and Hiccup (or Jamie) themselves each have an their own similarities, as well as differences. Neither of them look like the brush style you used for the nonhuman features, yet Hiccup/Jamie is more blended into the background. As if the viewer took a picture with a camera, and the focus was on Jack, but you can still distinctly see the other person because of the color differences and lighting.
Altogether it is a beautiful piece and I really love how much detail is there, yet not too much to make it look....weird... ^.^

I was trying a new style, more similar to the character design of the artists of RotG... and an interesting thing I noticed was that in their concepts they usually don't focus the attention to pg's faces' particulars, but in the close-ups XD
