Still waiting for the episode where Garnet isn't around and Pearl says something to Steven she regrets. We've seen hints that if he pushes her enough she gets close to saying damaging things.

Yeah, it pretty much did. I feel like there's more unsaid with Pearl and her need for Steven to be Rose in terms of powers (not saying she doesn't love him, but she's got serious issues regarding him). Given the emotional stakes rising, I could see it happening again, but worse.

Yeah me too. She and Amethyst both (if Maximum Capacity is any indication). I'm half-expecting Garnet to have a moment like that too even if it is unlikely in her case compared to Pearl and Amethyst who are more emotionally scarred by Rose's departure. The only thing I'm more curious about is how Steven's handling all this because after Joy Ride, Steven is definitely aware of the Gems' subconscious finger-pointing at him for Rose being gone. He seems to be taking it in stride though I'm expecting more on this during Stevenbomb 2 next week.

I kinda imagine it'll become an issue when Steven fuses with another gem. I'd imagine that he wouldn't want to unfuse if he managed to give the bulk of his mom's powers to the fusion, beyond what he could do. It would especially be an issue if it was a fusion with a non-Crystal gem (unlikely, but theoretically possible and it would allow for some things that fusions with the big three wouldn't allow).
