... wait now... you didn't know what a tako-tsubo is?
... does that mean I get to tell you about the so-called "Broken-heart syndrome" (a.k.a. "The Tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy"?) Wow, what a stroke of good luck!

You see... when people feel really, really stressed out, really bad or really sad... their heart muscle actually undergoes a change. Their hearts become weak and unable to pump blood effectively and the person goes into heart failure (sometimes even heart attacks.) The shape of the heart goes from the usual "heart" shape into something that looks like a tako-tsubo. And some folks have died from it. Because of what causes this kind of strange but reversible heart problems, people have started to call it the "broken heart" syndrome.

... looks like our kinky kraken may be up to something even worse!

HAHAHAHA!! Well when you said it, I googled it and found out ALL about it

Yeah it's a really cool coincidence! I love the happy accidents lol. Now how to make something out of it..lol.

I think the kraken is breaking hearts.

Well... your kraken looks like a real heart-breaker, that's for sure! (I want my kimchi! Gimme my kimchi!!! )

Yeah, don't you just love it when things kind of fall into place through lovely, lovely coincidence? That's synchronicity at its best!

Well... he's breaking my emotional heart here, too. Gimme my kimchi, buddy!
But since it lives in a Tako-tsubo... well, emotional heart-breaking can lead to literal heart-breaking, too.

Synchronicity! www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8976f

I've always liked the band. I was lucky to have been to a Sting concert a number of years ago. It was great!
He sounds amazing. Listening to him live is just like listening to him on a CD. I think that's really, really cool (and rare!)

Oh, absolutely.
I got the ticket through a really crazy set of circumstances. It's one of those things that would go very well into a memoir. But it was a great show. The tour's name was "back to basics" and it was just that... simple, no frills, but totally awesome.

... I'm sorry that it looks like I took this photo with a potato... but I was just a little too far...

Hahaha! funny story That's cool, just the music not all the extra stuff.
If you could take a picture with a potato...that would be cool.

Oh, the story was a lot funnier than this!

The tickets went on sale at noon. I was trying to get a ticket while waiting for an operation to start. The nurses saw me sweating bullets trying to fight with the ancient computer inside the operating room and asked me what I was doing. I told them I was trying to see Sting! (... literally.) But the patient was being wheeled in already. So one of them checked on the computer for me during the operation. When the operation was over, the nurses told me that the tickets were sold out. I was ready to cry. The surgeon I was operating with asked what was wrong and I told him about what happened. And I was ready to give up hope.

... a couple months later, the surgeon call me up and asked if I found a ticket yet. I haven't. He sold a ticket to me and said it belonged to his brother-in-law who couldn't make it to the concert. And there it was! I was in! It was meant to be!!!

And boy, it was one of the greatest concerts I've been to.
... even if I was too far and my camera couldn't take great photos...

Wow! hahaha! you REALLY REALLY like Sting XD awesome It's so funny, you could make a comic strip out of this story!! I'm happy the ending is happy

I wasn't joking... the "real" story is a lot funnier! D;
Like what I said, it was "meant to be". Otherwise my boss wouldn't have just happened to come into that ticket and his brother-in-law wouldn't have just -just- been unable to make it. It's all good.

Not sure about a comic strip, though. I don't want people to know that a doctor is trying to score concert tickets before a surgery!

Doctors are people too? lol

I guess so! But hey... only you got to see it, right? I am sure not a lot of people read that story!
And you are right. Doctors are people, too. We deserve to go to a concert once in a while!

lol true. but maybe EVERYONE IS READING IT!! I'm kidding.

Yes of course!

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to kikoeart [2017-10-25 01:45:49 +0000 UTC]

... Well, I highly doubt "Everybody" is reading it...
I'm not known as the "Wall of text" guy for nothing! I am highly banking on people doing the "tl;dr" to my story.

kikoeart In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2017-10-26 17:31:18 +0000 UTC]

haha, what does "tl;dr" mean?

yes, when it's really long ppl probably don't read it... i hope.

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to kikoeart [2017-10-26 18:28:17 +0000 UTC]

"tl; dr" stands for "Too long; didn't read."
That's why I am hoping people won't actually read what I wrote!
