I don't know a lot about digital art, but I didn't get how there was light on her front thighs. You know, I thought it was kind of above-behind her, but I guess the only logical explanation is that the light is coming simply from above. I was also just curious since I've seen in my old account how terrible my shading techniques were.

Highly understandable. I took art classes throughout my school years of learning. Here's the quote that thought me a LOT throughout the years: "The darkest dark brings the brightest light".
Cause the darkest of the 3 shades will bring the brightest light. Every color or shade has about 3 to 4 settings of darkness.

That sucks. You could always pay for a local Art Class for cheap in your area. Where I live Tennessee, USA there is a 2 year Semester for $150 plus free books & art supplies. It just depends on where you goto.
There are some really good Traditional & Digital art channels I follow on YouTube that will give you great information on how to draw different styles.

For the first one: Here in Eindhoven all I find are these painting courses for retired people. Though, I know a guy who used to be my teacher in primary school, if he's still alive, I could contact him. He has a gallery now, in a town close to my city.

Wow! That's kinda sad & kinda she defiant towards younger people who want to do art. Surely they can allow other age groups in that class during other parts of the day? That's kinda poor business Entrepreneurship if you ask me.
People shouldn't limit themselves on the people they work with. I also dislike working with a lot of people but a small class like that doesn't kill me.

Hah... been a long time since I saw someone so similar to me yet so different. The problem with my country is that there's a lot of old people. Younger people tend to go to other countries, such as the US. So you see that everything that has to do with art, musea, or chilling out, is basically either for children or for old people.
Though there must be someplace I can follow an art class? Maybe out of town, but I don't care.
I know what I want to do. Time to set up goals.

Oh ok that makes sense too. Now I see why a lot of young people are leaving your country. But, I hope they go back to their families after achieving their art goals? I mean I know traveling is expensive but, once you hit that jackpot job you'll save more than the average person.
I plan on moving to Hawaii & Japan with family one day I really miss Hawaii since I lived there for 4 years. Japan I never been too but I know translation isn't that difficult these days. I hope the best for your art class search of not try SillShare website it's cheaper than other places for online classes.
