Description And heres my final character for the semster, Jareth the Goblin King. Ya nothing much to say here other than that I made him look super creepy 0_0 my teacher wanted me to steer away from making my characters look all cute and adorable and try for a more dark tone for Jareth. And my Greek clothing designs for him became a little static so my teacher insisted I try a more un wordly and mythical design. So I tried to accomplish that here while keeping some Greek in it as well. So..... thats it for character design for the semester, one more week and I'll be done with my 1st semester junior year. I'm more than half way done with college HOLY CRAP it goes by soooo quick!!!

ya, this was a school project where we had to take an existing story and re design it. Theres more info in the artists comments if you're interested.

I think the hair was my favorite part to draw. If you look closely, it kind of has the shape of an owl... see what I did there huh huh? Thanks by the way

Bowie himself would be proud of this. That being said, you certainly saved the best for last! I LOVE the evil expression on his face, and the fact that you highlighted his most distinguished quaility, his hair, VERY well. I absolutely adore this!

Wow...that sure is an interesting rendition of Jareth! You did well though in taking your teacher's advice. This darker tone suits him, and all those flowly clothes and big hair add to the "fae" quality while not taking away from the "Greek" you're trying to instill in his character. Great job!

Now -that's- an interesting version of Jareth.

The belt, skirt, and hair remind me of Greek stuff, but I admit the feathers in the sleeves (which I'm betting you put in because of the whole "turn into an owl" thing) remind me more of Native American design.

ya i noticed that too, the whole native american look. I hope it isn't too obvious when I display it in class, although I'm sure someone will point it out. I wish I had more time to develop his design more, oh well, maybe that can be a project sometime in the future.

Hm... for a greek style owl theme, maybe you coulda given him like a bronze breastplate (or bracers, if you want to keep it on the arms) with owl/Athena style engravings?
