Impossible to recos within two days' time HAHAHAAH! It was from last week's shoot lolol. Nah when I said wanted to recos Kagura I think I meant the original version 8'D

I suspected as much. ^ ^ I would have been particularly impressed with your location scout...because this setting looks great. Is it a historical place? Or maybe a recreation or something?

So I hope the movie (Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-Hen) is something I can enjoy without having seen any of the episodes (or read the manga), because it's downloading now. ^ ^

I look forward to another moment when I'm watching an unfamiliar anime and a character walks onscreen and I'm able to immediately say, "Aww, I know her #^ ^ #"

It's actually what we call Chinese Garden LOL where everything there is extremely China-sy and stuff haha. It's linked to the Japanese Garden too! Kind of a recreational place I guess, esp for bird lovers who love to take photos of birds I guess. 

I'm pretty sure you can watch any of the Gintama eps without following the entrie series HAHAHAHA because it is that random! Yes the movie is good, but the Final movie is even better! (the 2nd one), I don't think its available online yet though >< but its best if you watched the entire series before watching the final movie! c: 

Haha aww thanks! Although this version of Kagura is from Yoshiwara Arc, which starts from about ep 138 to 14X, and its very very nice! My favorite arcs of all time >///< Its also where Kagura's brother, Kamui, makes his debut appearance so I'm like ahsefsjkfh /fangirls/

Ah right, I wondered if it might be something like that. In the city I grew up in (San Jose, in California) there was a place called the Japanese Friendship Garden, which I don't remember being nearly as elaborate as that Chinese Garden place looks, but I remember it having a koi pond. (And probably other stuff. ^ ^; )

And until you just mentioned the Japanese Garden, I had mostly forgotten about the one in San Jose! It's been years since I lived there...and I don't know of anything like the Japanese Garden around where I live now, in Salt Lake City. ><;  I'd like to make a snarky joke about Salt Lake City like "the only Asian community around here is at the University," but in the city's defense, there's enough of a Vietnamese population that you can easily get a tasty bowl of pho (and spring rolls, yum), if you're in the right part of town. ^ ^

But still....it's generally a pretty homogeneous population around here.  Makes me miss San Jose, sometimes.

I see I see, haven't been to US before so I'm not too sure how it is like over there. Not planning to anyway because I don't think I can live for a week without my usual intake of Asian food A.K.A rice and noodles (I'm really asian through and through when it comes to food 8'D) /can never live on fast food or bread or anything that doesn't have rice or noodles/ plus the security there is a bit... -coughcough- so I don't think my family would want to go there haha >< and the plane flight is gonna be extremely long too!

Woah didn't expect that there would be a Vietnamese population there, I see I see!

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of Asian restaurants around the area where I live. But unless you're going to one that has a reputation for being authentic, you typically have to expect the food to be totally Americanized. ^ ^; (In other words, light on seafood flavors, heavy on sweet flavors.)

There's a Thai food place that I love, for example, but I have no idea if anyone really considered its food 'authentic.' Sure is tasty, though. ^ ^

I see! My ideal Thai food would be spicy + sour 8DDDDDD It actually doesn't make sense to go to other countries and not eat their food LOLOL so yeah US has never been on my list-of-places-I-want-to-travel-to
