Winter was a beautiful season. Two mares were heading to a small place where they had called home for the past couple of months. As they were walking, music started to come over the meadow. Azalea looked over to where it was coming from and smiled. She looked to her mate beside her. She wanted to go investigate where the music was coming from. Destra wanted to keep going but Azalea was giving her the puppy dog eyes and she can't resist it for long. Sighing, she gave in but told her to stay close to her and far from where the music was. The purple mare cheered and trotted towards the music.

Coming up to the edge of the clearing, they could see fencing and wood structures. Humans... Destra knew this was an area where people kept and tamed horses. She didn't like the idea of being this close and Azalea knew that. So, she nudged her mate away from the area and to a secluded part where no one would see them and they wouldn't see the stable.

Music was still playing nearby and it could still be heard clearly. A new song came on it sounded like a soothing kind of song. It was cheesy to Destra but the lyrics made her think of her and Azalea's life together. They're relationship started out a little rough but Destra grew protective over Azalea and she's happy when her mate is happy.

Azalea loved the song and started dancing with the song. As Destra watched her mate dance, a smile came to face.

"Destra! Come dance with me!"

She wondered how different both of their lives would have been if she didn't save her that night when they were young. Well, that can wait for another time. Right now, she wanted to spend this time with her mate and make her smile last all night.
