That's why I emphasized the word fantasy, it's not supposed to be realistic. I mean, if you knew much about actual battle, you'd probably realize that most male and female fantasy armor is inefficient and unrealistic. Oh, you also have to realize that if you fought, say a dragon, you'd be far better off in very light armor, common clothes, or even naked, opposed to something heavy. Armor wouldn't actually stop it from outright killing you, realistically.  So maybe just appreciate this art for it's amazing quality and detail. Also, the armor for what it is, fantastic armor for a fantasy setting.

I know. I always like to make fun of the unrealism. Dark Souls has realistic armor which actually looks good!

Sorry, but Dark Souls (my favorite game of all time) is not realistic either, a lot of that armor has glaring issues that are only there to make it look cooler, much like heels and armor. Not to mention, that the actual effectiveness of armor in Dark Souls is unrealistically good. Admittedly it's closer to realistic than most games. Besides, Dark Souls is very much dark fantasy, not everything wants to be, or should be, like that. Making fun of "unrealism" in armor is incredibly rude to the artist and doesn't even make sense, it's like if you made fun of someone for wearing a blue shirt. Rude, and somewhat confusing.

I am saying that the armor is a lot more "realistic LOOKING" than in most fantasy games. Don't get me wrong, I like unrealistic armor in games too. I don't think he would take offense though.
