Initially on seeing the thumbnail this didn't really capture my attention but seeing it full size I can see exactly why this shot did so well in the contest. Certainly the shutter speed was ideal and the motion of the bird is perfectly contrasted against the stationary post.

This is really nice. Usually when there is blur the photo turns out to be just horrible. This one has such clarity to it and the colours are so wonderful. And the thing is, this was shot at 1/20s of exposure which means it was completely intentional. Kudos on an excellent shot!

Wow,this is the first time I've seen a photo of something in the midst of a transdimentional jump. Makes you wonder what it looks like from the other dimention.
