The more I look at this work the more I like it. Unused wreckage and dilapidated objects are commonly popular amongst photographers (the sense of decay, neglect and the passage of time is always interesting to capture) but this work for me is just a bit more artistic than just dilapidation for the sake of it.
The line of clarity is great, the wonderful soft focus of the foreground and background with this strong band of detail creates great impact.
The harshness of the light and shadow add to this feeling of disuse and abandonment. These carelessly scattered objects have been left to fade in the sun but it has created great contrast without being too bright and vibrant (and excessive colour saturation would have spoiled the tone.)
I love the composition, a narrow viewed image is always appealing to me. Overall it is a wonderfully strange yet eye catching shot. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="
