I've had a terrible case
Of Writer's Block lately
And I've been racking my brain
Thinking of what to do about it.

I've written about Love,
About Life
About Death
And the occasional comedy if it comes to me.

It occurred to me last night
That there is one seemingly endless topic
About which one can write
- Or whinge.

This literary gold mine,
A veritable El Dorado for back-porch philosophers and poets
Is the overwhelming belief that Life
Is not fair.

I spent some time thinking about that
And quickly realised that it's complete
And utter
Shit.

How exactly is Life not fair?
My life is positively overflowing with fairness
One thing I can't fail notice over and over again
Is that things just go well for me.

So how dare you sit there and try to detract
From every amazing thing I go through?
Because before you were too busy crying,
But now you want to help me eat the bread.
