Kinda reminds me a more nihilistic-sounding quote from 2010's Balada Triste de Trompeta (aka "The Last Circus"):

Well, after midnight Blade Runner will no longer be considered a SciFi movie about a possible future now that November 2019 will be surpassed, it'll be an alternate history film XP
But hey, we got 2049 to look forward to, hopefully we'll get flying cars there.
