Zakuro really does look like a child, and nothing can change that anymore, because she'll be forever trapped in that body. She is short, petite and absolutely flat, with big eyes and round, delicate face that can't be sharpened even by her predatory instincts. Her hair is purple, and she usually wears it in two pigtails, and her pink eyes were once blue, but changed color upon turning into vampire. She's an idol, and thus she dresses like one, with a bit Gothic Lolita touch, mostly in purples and yellows. It's impossible to see her without at least one accessory themed for both star and bat wings. She also has two rather small bat wings sprouting from her back, and she can actually fly on them.

Zakuro is very simple person. She is absolutely childish - she often pouts, is easily annoyed and very easily offended, and she might start throwing tantrums if she doesn't get what she wants. She sure is a bit spoiled, but can prove to be kinda cute, too, and even maybe innocent... Most often to literally stab you in the back. Zakuro is also real bitch for fame. Popularity is he fuel, fans are her reason to live, and spotlight is her place. There is not other place she feels so certain and good than the stage and, that must be said, she sure knows how to work for her fame. While working for a concert, Zakuro's personality changes completely - what comes out is very patient, but also perfectionist person who will see to absolutely everything by herself, because everything must be perfect. She can get very authoritative and reliable, but can be also angered if something goes too wrong. She never gets nervous before coming out onto the stage, though, as she sees absolutely no point in it, because why do something that can make you fail? This is her passion, and she sure is passionate about it. Sometimes, she can also get clingy and... She has the worst sense of direction, ever. Her recklessness would've killed her already if she weren't vampire. Zakuro also tends to get hyper-active once she gets too much sugar or caffeine, and it happens quite often, because as much as she hates candy, she drinks lots of coffee.

He also adopted her.

Zakuro was born and raised in happy family, and she never lacked of anything, especially attention from her family, but one day on the trip, they were attacked by bandits. Zakuro, with help of her mother, managed to flee, but Ringo dies in the process, and Zakuro herself was on verge of dying because she was stabbed. That was when she met Kairyl, lured to her be scent of blood, and offered her power. He had killed her, but gave her new life, and also became her new family. Soon, she killed the bandits and set off to fulfill her dream in becoming famous singer. Although Some years later she was fooled and thrown into Grand Line by some girl that wanted all the fame for herself. She doesn't know if the girl succeeded, but want's to kill her anyway. There, she met Shannon, and grown close to sharkmaid. Some time after, they joined Euphemie's crew. Zakuro didn't slack off ,though, gaining popularity everywhere she went.
