*arrives after log time of inactivity with gay shit* Wassup. Have I mentioned that Winx S4 is and has been my favorite always because of these two above? And yes, this is genderbent Duman, you can't convince me that this drama queen goth nerd of a shapeshifter has any limitations over changing their body to fit whatever their mood is at the moment once they shake off the shitty medieval mentality.

One of the most wholesome parts of my never-to-be-written Winx AU thing is definitely Roxy’s and Duman’s relationship. They do start off on a horribly wrong foot—trying to commit murder on one another is not quite an ideal way of meeting your future partner, after all—but after some incidents and Roxy helping Duman through a PTSD attack, they both eventually try to understand eachother’s point of view (with Roxy realizing that Wizards were actually protecting the Earth, and Duman realizing that while Roxy is a fairy, she’s not actually evil, just defending herself). Therein forms a friendship and then things get really not-platonic, really fast.

Duman, however, has a whole array of problems. As a young person having come straight into 21st century right from Arthurian Era, he feels both lost and liberated. As a shapeshifter, gender and race are of no real concern to them. As a teenager, their identity is frightening. They were called freak numerous times back in ye olden times for shifting between genders and refusing to fit into the pre-set binaries, with literally three people alive supporting them.

Thankfully, Roxy is a bit of a mess herself, and the only real reaction to Duman shifting into female form before her is a sudden wave of Gay PanicTM.

Roxy loves her dumb confused significant other that gets scared of toasters and microwaves, regardless of which body they feel comfortable in at the moment.
