I just came over from your other yaoi-appreciation stamps and the first thing that goes through my mind while reading this is: "Wow, that's a marvelously genius way to tell someone to shut the hell up~!"

Water contains oxygen, which is what the fish actually breathe. Use up all the oxygen in that water and the fish will have nothing.Β Contrary to humans and animals, plants and trees happen to use what we breathe out and turn that into oxygen. So it's kind of a balanced trade off between humans/animals and plant life.
Basically it's perfectly okay to use the oxygen we currently breathe.
