I feel like it would have more tentacles - the Tripods in War of the Worlds weren't the actual aliens, just the vehicles they used, while the Martians themselves were a lot more octopus-like.

I love these tripods and yes I do agree they are the vehicles of the aliens,Somewhere I read they have 14 tentacles in all but you may be right that they have more^^
