ok... this time its really finished.. i swear... i went back and added some more hilights, shadows and some more clothing designs on the body and cape... i think i changed her lips a bit too... im not sure though... anyway her she is.... ill be clearing the old ones out of my gallery soon so if you had them faved please fav this one instead! i dont want to lose your favs!!!thanks for all the positive comments on this project! you can be sure to see more vivid coloring on my future projects.. but of course with some humor next time, (i finally bought a mac , tablet and a scanner for my house!!... so im gonna be making all kinds of fun stuff soon!
*note: the background was created in okinawa by another illustrator... i did modify some part of it, but my artwork is mostly on the character herself.
the final version of this image had even more modifications made by the artists in okinawa. it was featured as a back-cover on Souten no Ken volume 13.

Souten no Ken... a good manga, albeit there was some missed opportunities, like having perhaps more of the.. er... direct violence of the original work/future (but this is maybe due also because the world is still - even in the throat of WW2's horror - 'sane' and have some stability... Ironic to say.) and like Buronson and Hara kinda neglegated at times to look back at the older works and try to fit it all more in or something (where was Nanto, or worse due to the political background maybe, Gento?)...
Anyway, great work, and great pic there, man.

it was an honor to work with him... it was very difficult though. his style is very different from mine, so it took me a long time to learn, although i am still not a master at it.
anyway, i like your paintings a lot, keep up the good work!

yeah, i remember talking about "vaughn"... i ended up moving to japan right after all of that... just moved back to the USA a few months ago... i havent up with my journal on here since my first year in japan.. so a lot of people still think im there.

This final one really looks great, I know you didn't make the background but It just really bothers me..but I suppose it will look better printed....I might try importing that graphic novel when it is available so I can have some Jeremy stuff....
Japan might not be so easy for me this summer... I tried canceling my California trip to no avail....Though I do want to learn more Japanese before I go out there, I learned all of the Hirigana set and still am trying to master it, I can read words, but then I'm like, what does that mean, and or, there is too much Katakana or Kanji in this sentence...hehe, oh, the perils of learning to read Japanese.

yeah man! i think new years should be ok... im sure i will have a lot of days off during that time... and i dont think we will be going to america like i had origionally planned because my visa can expire if i leave the country before next spring...
anyway.. bring all the money you can... my brother was just here.. and recently he turned into a giant naruto fan and he bought anything he could find of naruto.. he had a whole suit-case filled with naruto toys and collectables!!!
i know some places where you can buys tons of live-action sailor moon stuff too

Sounds awesome! I just bought this really cool book that explores shops and things in Japan that are geared towards anime and manga fans and I'm getting really excited about it! I'm going to bring as much money as possible! and Comiket in the winter is a must do! Maybe you should check out Comiket in the summer and tell me what it is like!

i dont know about sites allowing payments for plane tickets though.. but you can book then without paying any money down... that way you can pay when u have the money ready and still have a reserved seat
