Canada Day 2005.The Marijuana party was having a rally at Robson Square in Vancouver, BC.
One of the many rasta supporters there. They were giving out free weed. Good times.

no offense taken. this was a while back when I still did a considerable amount of retouching on my photos.
the depth of field was increased a bit with a blur in photoshop. It wasn't all too significant, but just enough to help the composition.

Beware of Gaussian blur. Near the edges of the subjects, there are some telltale signs.

Indeed there are, and so far, you seem to've been the first to spot them.
I don't find the blur taints anything shot on a digital camera too exessively, aside from the noise that might be present.
I agree I was somewhat sloppy in its application back when this shot was taken, I've switched to more purist means now.
