Description MY FIRST RENDERING EVER!!! I have been teaching myself how to do 3D modeling for the last month or so while on break from school and just started learning to render them. I'm pretty proud of this small scene showcasing the "Enhanced Defense Pistol" line of small caliber pistol/PDW rounds.
Programs used: Rhino 4 SR4 w/V-ray 1.5 for Rhino.

Bullet diameter: 4.5mm, 5.5mm, 6.5mm, 7.5mm
Case Length: 30mm
Shoulder Diameter: 8mm, 9mm (7.5mm round)
Overall Length: 42mm
Case Material: Nano-polymer plastic 239

Grouped by caliber left to right: 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5mm

This round was developed from a combination of the old 4.6x30 and 5.7x28 rounds used in some PDWs and pistols of the early 21st century. This round is meant to replace these types of rounds with a single case that can be necked to accommodate a number of different calibers.
Over the years nano-polymer plastic 239 has been replacing brass as the material of choice for conventional bullet casings as it is much lighter and slightly stronger than brass. It should be noted that standard FMJ rounds have a gray casing, other types of rounds such as hollow point or armor piercing have different color casings and patterns to denote the round type this way the bullet is left untouched by markings.

3D model is made in Rhinoceros 4 and it is rendered in V-ray for Rhino. It could be even more realistic if I could figure out more of the features but thank you. I have more rounds on the way, I just have to render them...
