That facial expression :3 Also, love the armor. I have to admit, I'm a sucker for simple, practical armor designs. This one looks like it might be fun to draw myself some time. And I LOVE the flag! The way you've got it down is awesome.

Haha, I'm glad you enjoy it! Armor is just so useful- it's a good way to show rich, but only if it be a fool who go to war! The flag was a sonofa---- again though thank you!!!!

Is it just me or does she look like she just finisged killing someone and really enjoyed it. Oh well she does look happy though. I like the intersting idea of her being a standard bearer. Don't see many taking that up such an honor. Very well done my friend.

Thank you so very much for depicting Elihal's wish in such a lovely manner! (And my apologies for commenting this late - I wanted to take my time for this. )
She looks so happy and proud - you translated her beautifully in your style! - her posture really is one of confidence and victory, and I love how you drew the banner fluttering behind her. It really draws my attention to her face, which is bright and open with joy. The tiny details - like her small bow, the metal links of the chainmail, the blood on her armor, (THE PEOPLE RALLIED IN THE BACKGROUND), the type of swords they carry, and the stitchings of the banner - make this piece a delight to look at, there's always something small and new to see. Β
Your coloring is so vibrant too! The smooth line art and the bright colors are such a nice combination! Do you use markers and microns? The touches of white (and the GLITTER INK) are such an awesome touch as well - it really gives off a 'shiny and bright' feeling, and it definitely makes the piece look even more interesting! The standard honestly shines, and as does Elihal, with a beautiful bright smile.
Thank you for your wonderful piece!

You're very welcome, m'dear! (You're fine as you see I'm even later than some!!)
I'm very glad you enjoyed each aspect I gave to it-- Elihal seemed like a special character so I wanted to show it in her pose as well as the background (as I aimed for a rising sun meaning a new beginning for non-mages). Small details will always bring a piece to being a sweet treat, as that is why those are there.
I did use alcohol markers, but I've learned a secret technique for quick ink-work (if it's available to you or anyone)! I did the drawing and rough sketch on plain printer paper and then did line work and touched up what parts I wanted to. Afterwards I scanned it on my copier/printer, on which it printed over to a sheet of cardstock. My alcohol markers would bleed all over the place if I used them on regular paper, which is why I needed to use cardstock. But I did use some microns to add in smaller detailing such as the stitching on the flag!
I'm so pleased you loved it! Elihal was a thrill to draw and bring to life!

Glad to hear it, I wanted it to look more metallic so I added gleams and use actual ink that had the glitter in it! I'm pleased everyone is enjoying it.

Thank you very much! I'm still trying to practice more and more dynamic posing as well as playing with my alcohol markers! I was having issues at first with how to pose her to get the right emotional feel!

Haha thanks! I was afraid it wouldn't look as good as I usually do (where it's more traditionally drawn)
