=SutibaruArt did the drawing of a guy turning into a girl wearing a bikini. He was commissioned to do it by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. I do not know the name of this person or if he or she is aware that this drawing is now in color. Normally I like to seek permission from both the artist and commissioner so I can give them credit where credit is most due, but I only have the artist's permission at this point. I hope at some point the person who did commission the art sends me a private note telling me what they think of this colorization.Related content

I am suffering from procrastination and laziness when it comes to trying to get up the motivation to draw. I know in my mind what it is I'd like to see done, but trying to get my hands to cooperate is beyond me.
So, at the moment I only color what artwork artists will give me permission to color and share on DA.

What? Hear a proposal for a commission? I can hear it, but that does not mean I have the skills to pull off what you want in terms of drawing. I just do not have anything people would want to see commissioned based or not at this time.
I can color fairly well. If you find an artist who can draw but does not really color and he does not mind having his work colored, then we can talk. I color for free, not on a commission basis BTW.

As long as the artist gives permission to have his work colored then I really do not see much of a problem. I do not ask for money or ask for points. I do have to like the art enough to want to color it, but the few times people who have asked me to do this sort of thing I have found myself always saying yes. So send me a link to this artwork and let me know what the artist says to your proposal.

I know that some people use their accounts to take images off the net and post them in their Gallery. That may well be fine for them to take the risk of having said account become banned by DA. I am not saying that such actions are being taken all of the time, but that does remain a possibility nevertheless. I personally do not wish to take that risk on an image that I have not at least spoken to the person who owns the rights to it and get permission to alter the image.
I have seen a couple of examples where people have taken drawings that do not belong to them and make it seem like they either did the drawing themselves or had permission from the artist to alter the drawing. This is both theft and dishonesty on the part of the people doing this sort of thing. From the cases I have personally seen nothing has been done to the people who have hijacked the images, so I am a bit amazed they have been able to get away with it so far. I take great care to contact artists to let them know I am interested in coloring their work. I have only had one artist turn me down out of forty something. While the temptation to color anything I wish to exists, I do realize if I do not get those permissions I could eventually be banned on DA for theft. I do not want to risk my account and I really do not want to hurt artists that I admire by such actions.
I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear from me. I am sorry for that, but I can only say that keep looking for artists who draw in the manga style and like to draw fan stuff. Some artists actually draw requests for free so you might get lucky in that.
