A book illustration for "Die Chronik des Krieges: Der ewige König" by Marius Gronde. This illustration is for his coming book.


I had a lot of fun drawing the zombie horses and also the armor of the man in the foreground. Since the author has written it as a very dark scene, I had to play around with the fog and also the magical lights (red and blue shimmer) to make the characters visible.

Thank you! Was quite hard to figure the right ligh effects out XD The author wrote me that the sword has a magical (red) glowing stone in its hilt, but the hilt is hidden behind the man in this picture XD
