No, there's not a package containing all of this stuff. You'll have to acquire what you want from different sources/sites.

If you want the icons you can comment saying so on UltraLinx blog (ultralinx.blogspot.com).

I am trying to edit Astrid's widget background like you did, but when I push the edited .apk back to the phone Astrid crashes... Can you explain how you managed to edit the background and keep the app working?

You probably have to re-compile the .apk
Google apk manager XDA - You should find it.
And the .apk also needs to be re-signed, I guess.

If you're editing 9pngs you need Draw9Patch or something
along those lines. Hope it helps
