Description Inspired by the twenty-eighth day of the Lent study “Atheism for Lent – [link]

Inspired by the following, “... as we reach into the depths of our soul, our tradition, and our upbringing we no doubt reveal some wounds that had not had time to heal. As we pull away the bandaid of religion we reveal the hurt we have received and experienced. And we likely point a finger at whoever is responsible for the scar we’ve discovered.
Forgiveness is not implicitly religious; it is implicitly human. It is to “give the before.” It’s not always easy, in fact it rarely is, but it reminds us of our common humanity, our sadly natural ability to bring someone with us when we’re falling, hoping they will catch our fall but knowing that they will likely fall with us. And when we fall (or are pushed and pulled down), we have the opportunity, obligation even, to request and extend forgiveness.”

Created in PS CS6, total time around 90min

I am a Christian, but I agree when it comes to forgiveness as part of being human. It's not about religion; it's about relationships with our fellow man, Jesus included. Because He wanted a relationship with each of us is why He became human, lived, died, and rose again; all for us! All so that we may be forgiven of anything past, present, or future, so we can have an eternal relationship with Him if we accept Him. And if we do, He makes us brand new again, just like in your art piece, and becomes our best friend forever. We forgive because both He forgave us and we're all in this together.

Thanks for making this. God bless you.

So the point is that religion covers up how people are hurt on the inside?
Anyways, this is very interestingly portrayed, admirably

kinda yeah, although anything could be the bandaid not just religion, anything that covers up the problem rather than facing it
