I love the textures in this stuff. Back when comics could stand on their own as completely black and white. Beautiful work!

Thanks! I don't want to say that today's coloring really sucks horribly and just totally wrecks the look of the comic book and makes everything look like shiny plastic, but I guess I just did!

I have seen some really great stuff done, and once in a while the colorist enhances the line work. does that to an awesome effect, especially when working with and inks and on pencils. But often I see the line work is left looking half finished so that the colorist can fill it in. Even worse I have seen comics from big labels that were colored over pencils, they didn't even have them inked! The art of pen and ink seems to be on the back burner in the presence of photoshop and the likes. But I am hopeful, these things are usually like pendulums, they will come back around.

Yeah, he is! We did two or three issues together and Jan Duursema also pencilled one that I inked!

That is so cool. I just got done organizing a dozens of Swampthings from when you were doing them, getting them in order and seeing what I'm missing. My teacher is badass.
