"Evening ! "

Kaira heard the voice of her new found stalker as the door that lead into the stables opened, the sunlight already had died outside and just like most december days; it was dark way too fast. She continued her round with the food for the horses, hardly paying any attention to Sjoerd being there as well. He said he would pick her up at 8 and he was already there at ..What ? 5 ?

" Evening.. " She spoke as she passed him to empty the bucket into Ghost's stall, putting it down on a barrel before turning the lights off in the tack and feeding area. To her surprise, it was silent. Normally he would have started a conversation by now but this time, silence. As she looked up she met his eyes, both looking at her in utter shock.

" WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE ? " The words were loud, very loud. Luckily no one was around at this time to hear. What a weird thing to say ?

She raised a brow as she walked closer, giving him a smile. " What's with my face ? Did I manage to get dirt on it again ? " She chuckled, happens all the time. But slowly her smile faded away, his expression didn't budge and she started to realize why.

" I ..was going to get ready after feeding the horses.. My ..Make-up and stuff.. "

" Hush you poor dear... " He said quickly, shaking his head as he pulled her closer. His hand holding up her head so he could inspect it up close. His little grin sent a nervous shiver down her spine, wondering what he was thinking right now. She hadn't had much trouble lately with her scars but..That's because she hid it all the time. As best as she could anyway.

" No need for you to put make-up on .. There is no need to hide. " He said as he let go of her, the way he looked at her had changed completely. How he used to look at her with those puppy eyes, it had changed into looking at a prey. A look she new all to well from herself.

" Right.. I..Agree. Though for a party.. I would like to look nice." She answered him, good thing he understood..As well..She could appreciate people accepting her like this too. It always had been making her insecure ever since she had the scars.

" You mean you would like to deceive more people by hiding that hideous side of your face ? " He said with that smile still on his face, meaning to be comforting but absolutely failing to make her feel at ease. The comment simply so out of the blue she froze in place.

" It's insane how some women can use make-up like that, it really shouldn't be allowed. I sure fell for it. Though I always was curious about those..sunken lines in your cheek. You always had the big one on display..Somewhat, but damn those are some deep ass carves. " He chuckled, placing on hand on her shoulder to give her a 'comforting' rub. " It must be hard on you, I don't mean it in a bad way. I still like you..But. I think we should go as friends. Alright ? "

" It's not that bad..But fine. And I think I will just stay here though. " She replied, not really knowing what to say. Normally, she was the one dealing blows like this to other people. She used to do this every day. Make people feel bad on purpose. And now that she was on the other end of the stick she had to admit, she was so wrong to do so. But also, it made her realize she might deserve this. God had a way of getting back at you.

" Right, darling. Absolutely. " She watched him get his phone from his pocket, his arm wrapping around her as if he didn't want her to walk away. " What are you doing ? " She asked, not even putting up a fight as she watched him open up his camera.

" No need to hide it, right ? " He said, before she even knew it he had already made a picture of the both of them. Did she upset him ? Was he angry about how she looked ? Disappointed ? Whatever happened, he became the villain now. Not even a warning, BAM. Or her worst nightmare really. She watched him post it on Snapchat and he would probably be sending it around and showing it many times from now. The thing she tried to hide the most for the past couple of years. It wasn't something she was proud of, she found it hideous as well. And he was clearly doing this to warn others.

She had watched him in silence, the post had some text accompanied with it. Making it look like he was generous enough to spent the night with her instead. Making himself look like the good guy for hanging with this " poor " girl who was too insecure to go to the party.

" Alright enough ! " A tall figure appeared behind him, pulling him away from Kaira with what seemed to be quite a great amount of force. Enough to make him stumble to the ground. He listened however and was gone in an instant once he found his feet again. Clearly someone had heard his loud comment as well.

" I didn't know you were still around.. " Kaira smiled subtly as Annette approached her. Such a lion she is, she could always count on her to have her back.

" What a prick. Did he hurt you ? I heard what he said..Don't listen to that nonensense dear.. " A comforting pet on the back from Annette felt so much better, it made her smile. But of course it got to her, and now that the picture was out there she was afraid her reputation as the big bad wolf around were over. But maybe that was only for the better.

" I am fine, thank you." Fine, but hurt. But of course she would not show that. Her pride was all she got. She always did learn to keep her head up high. And on the plus side, he was not interested anymore. Thank god.

Annette nodded, giving her a tight hug. She knew her all too well and has seen her struggle with that exact insecurity problem for years. Of course she didn't believe it when she said she was fine.

" No worries, we will get back at him.. "

" Will we now ? " Kaira replied, sounding very mischievous already. Somehow a revenge plan always cheered her up.

"Oh we will, but we will do it my way. "

"Throw holy water on him ? Make him listen to the story of our lord and savior Jesus Christ ? Make him eat cookies, with raisins !" Kaira chuckled, not really know what she meant by that. Annette wasn't one for evil plans for sure.

" Nono, much better. " Annette did a nice attempt at a grin, though her smile was always silly and friendly. She appreciated the effort though and she had to admit. She was intrigued by what she said, she couldn't wait to hear it.
