So, now it's finally explained why Kaira and Sasa were competing at Rømø :'D All her dressage horses are gone ( except Ghost, but Ghost is not really the best dressage horse to compete with ), and Lex's jumping mare is gone. -yay- But yeah, who is gonna be her next dressage horse ? >) where is she gonna get it ? huehue maybe one could guess from the story.

Also I didn't expect them to win still super happy about it, but Kaira has a hard time being happy about anything at this point I can't really blame her for that I guess.

The lap of honour has never felt like such a god awful thing to do, Kaira was hardly smiling when she recieved the ribbon. Of course she was proud of her little Mustang. He managed to beat the big horses yet again but..Her thoughts were somewhere else, back at home where a fire destroyed the future only 2 weeks ago. The stable was being rebuild, it almost felt wrong to move on this quickly. But they had to make money somehow. The lessons alone were not nearly enough to buy them new tack, new stalls, food and of course horses. Her mother had offered to pay for the new stable but that was only the beginning.
And then, of course; the fact this place was riddled with people she wanted to avoid ever since she left this godforsaken country. It felt as if she entered the hunters territory, maybe it was just her but it felt like eyes were on her at all times..She was ashamed of what she was doing, jumping just to get a little bit of money out of it. She wasn't expecting so many familiar faces here to watch her do it and tried her very best to keep her head low. Hoping they wouldn't even recognize her with her sunglasses on, sadly having your name on the starters list was pretty obvious and they probably noticed.

Kaira felt a slight vibration in her pocket caused by her phone and without a rush she answered it.
" Hey. " Her voice was weak and awfully grim for her doing, it seemed like the past few weeks had drained her from all energy she had before. And eventhough she would never admit it she certainly felt as if the motivation got sucked out of her.
" Hello dear, how did it go ? " Her mother replied, sounding rather caring and worried for her daughter. Like the others she had protested against her entering this show. She hadn't been herself after the incident and all were worried she might crash her car or have an other accident with Sasa. Naturally they were releaved with Kaira's answer.
"First place.. " She almost sighed as she had her eye on the ribbon. A thorn in the eye, just like all the banners hanging about. She had tried to look past it all but this one was probably going home with her.. She was tempted to hand it over to a kid but she had to have some prove she actually won this thing.
A loud cheering could be heard over the phone, clearly Lex and Sophia were happy with the results. " Did you put me on speaker ?! " She hissed into the phone with an annoyed touch to her voice. Seriously ?
" Ah whoops. Sorry. " Her mother answered, as if she didn't know that it was on speaker. She knew very well and she couldn't fool Kaira with that act..Ignorant woman. " Well congrats dearie ! We are very proud of you. Have a save trip home.. We are waiting for you."

" How much money can I spend ? " Kaira asked somewhat out of the blue, her mother was silent for a few seconds. Not really sure what her daughter meant by that.
" Ehm..What do you mean by that, on food ? " Kaira chuckled softly, food. Of course one would think about food when it came to her.
" A horse, I am planning to drive up north to see if I can get a decent horse..To..Replace Ne-" Her voice broke at that point as a single tear sneaked out of the corner of her eye. Replace Nero..Ouch. The thought alone was heartbreaking. But it was necessary. She just hoped nobody saw that as she quickly and almost aggressively wiped the tear away.
"Nero.. To replace Nero. " She sighed, she tried so hard not to cry the past few days but it seemed like she was failing now. Maybe it had been a little to much to come here as well. And it would probably only get harder if she traveled to familiar grounds up north, but she had to.
" Rahter not too much..But do as you must. " Her mother, who didn't have that much of a motherly instinct but somehow felt that she wasn't doing very well at this point. Considering all that has happened, she could understand. Kaira could for once appreciate her answered. "Thank you.. "

" Is he there ? " Her mother asked carefully, knowing she was pushing her luck a little with that question.
" Fuck off. " Kaira said before hanging up on her. Why would she even ask ? As if this wasn't shitty enough, that just sent her into an even more annoyed state. She quickly searched for the next phone number on her list to call before hitting the road, sounding a bit more serious now as she answered the phone.
" Guten Tag. " She just hoped she would still remember her. And be willing to help her. She wasn't sure now that she was not accompanied by her trusted student.
