LOL I MADE A HIPSTER PONY

He's just a regular old earth pony <:
I'm still developing his story, but here's what I have for now:

Being a family friend of Applejack, his family also took a liking to the idea of growing and distributing farm-grown products. They weren't quite as successful as Sweet Apple Acres, but they got the job done. Compared to Applejack's family, his family was quite small, giving them more work to be evenly distributed between themselves. Crab Apple wasn't fond of this at all. He was quite lazy, and felt he was too good to be working on a farm. He didn't have a passion for it, and tried to get away from doing his work by getting as far away from Ponyville as physically possible. He's an angsty, antisocial brat who doesn't like much of anything, aside from absorbing himself in his own needs and desires.

Note: YES I know he has a very feminine frame. This is done so on purpose. He's not masculine or muscular in the least, so he's quite weak, resulting in thinner face and body features.
