As we with sionra wrote recently on tumblr - Adelin was killed. Here is part of story for them who interested.

A little bit of prehistory. Because of cruel accident the mortal incarnation of Chaos - lady Shania, died. Her lover, Lleu was a witness and by coincidence, he also was the cause of her death.
He didn't knew only one thing - that her death could undermine the already fragile balance in the whole universe.
Adelin rushed to Lleu at the same moment. Being a kinswoman of Shania, she she felt her death. Catching grieving Lleu, she told him that they need to immediately return Shania. This requires two things - a special dagger and a vessel in which dagger place Shania's spirit. Fortunately Lleu was the keeper of this dagger. He did not deliberate for a long time - and did not look for another vessel than the one that was in front of his eyes. Adelin was killed by Lleu. Her body immediately was possessed by Shania spirit.
Even been revived, Shania suffered greatly about Adelin death. She was her child and Shania's grief knew no bounds.
