Jack took my hand in frustration "Out!" He pulled me up from the bed & I squeaked "What?" Jack dragged me out of the room "Get out!" I pulled against his hand "Jack stop! I really-" Jack growled loudly "I don't want to hear it!" He pulled open the front door & tossed me outside "Go bother someone else!" I hit the ground hard. My arm hurt a little but I didn't care. I just stayed on the ground for a minute. At first I felt hurt. Then this burning rage surfaced. I growled loudly & pounded on his door "JACK! YOU OPEN THIS GOD DAMNED DOOR RIGHT NOW!" I heard nothing from inside the house "JACK?!" The I heard the sound of the door locking "JACK O'LANTERN YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" I sighed in frustration "Fine! If you want to act like a child GO AHEAD! I'm going home!" I leaned on the door for a moment. Hot tears dripped off of my face "Jack..." I stood up slowly & trudged down the hill. It was dusk now & the autumn sky was changing colors. I held myself tightly as I walked home.

I stuck my hands in my pockets to keep them warm. I turned to glance at Jack's house. It looked so sad sitting on that lonesome hill. I gasped when I felt a hand on my shoulder "Everything alright child?" Grim frowned at me as I turned to him "No." Grim leaned on his scythe "Would you like to talk about it?" I shook my head "I suppose..." Grim took my hand & started walking "I'll take you to my favorite thinking spot. It's isolated & quiet. People don't go there often." I nodded "Thanks Grim." Grim smiled "Why don't you start at the beginning & when you get to the end stop." I smiled "Alice In Wonderland. Alright. I was at the house of that guy I like... We were watching movies together." I heard a familiar gate open but ignored the sound. We walked for a bit more before stopping to sit down. I leaned back on the tree we were sitting under "Everything was going well... We were talking & laughing. Then he stared at me. I got confused. I thought something was wrong. Then he kissed me..." Grim gasped "Did he rape you?" I gasped back "What?! No! Nothing like that." I sighed & held my head in my hands "When he kissed me I didn't know what to do. A hot guy just kissed me! That doesn't happen often." I rolled my head toward Grim "He took it the wrong way & kicked me out of his house. I don't know what to do... He was really hurt & angry." Grim stood up "Well I can't tell you what to do. All I can do is wish you good luck." He sighed & watched the sky for a moment "Well I better get going." I nodded & watched him leave.

It was in that moment that I noticed something important. Grim had taken me to the cemetery. Jack's house was just up the hill to my right. I stared up at his house looking for movement. A flicker of light perhaps. Or the soft glow of his eyes in the window. Nothing. There was nothing from the house. I sat there for some time & watched the house deep in thought. Darkness crept across the sky before I decided to go & try to talk to Jack. The walk up the hill seemed longer than it had before. It felt like every step I took made the hill grow two steps longer. When I reached the top I gently rapped on his door. Nothing happened. I scrunched myself up as a cold bitter wind blew "Jack? Can we talk? Please?" The door unlocked & opened slightly. I smiled softly "I just want to talk to you. You-" I stopped talking when the bag of movies & such I had brought with me was dropped on his doorstep. All the frustration I had pushed to the back of my mind came back "I only want to talk! Why-why are you being so difficult!" I kicked his door as hard as I could "Jack!" I paused for a moment before grinning. I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket & pulled out my Costco card. I slipped the card into the crack of the door. It took a few minutes but I managed to get the door unlocked.
