Description
This is a pair of shoes that I painted as a Christmas present to my youngest brother. I had no idea what to get him, but I knew that he didn't have any fancy shoes so I decided to make him these!Obviously these ones aren't for sale or anything since they were a gift, but I had so much fun making them, I will be taking commissions if you want your very own pair.

These took about 8-12 hours, give or take. Lots of learning since it was my first time. They are weather proofed with spray, and hand painted with oil based markers and varnished. For all future shoes, I have already gotten some water/washing proof fabric paints and markers so I'll be more prepared to make sure they never fade and can be worn outdoors.

Wow! I had the idea recently to buy a pair of white sneakers and draw on them as a gift for a friend, but I could not find a medium I liked. But I really like the look of the oil based markers. These shoes are beautifully designed, and this has made me decide to get oil based markers for my work. Thanks a bunch!

To weatherproof the shoes, I use water proof fabric inks and paints. I coat the show with varnish once it's finished, and again with waterproofing shoe spray. The spray should be re-applied every season.

Nothing wrong with sharpies! Have you ever tried sharpie's paint markers? I use those all the time for shoes, too!

Can it be used for everyday like a normal shoes, although they're painted?

Yep, the ones I'll be making use fabric paint, just like any other shoe on the market. The only downside is that you might not be able to put them in a washing machine and dryer. If they get really dirty they may need to be washed by hand.
