What a cute little story to go with a wonderful picture.
I wonder... would you mind if I went and gave it (the story) a bit of a bulk and rewrite? This short of yours has given me an idea for a short.
Thanks.

Finished!
My Only Flower
It was a warm summer day, the sky was dappled with the odd puffy white cloud and the sun was bright, beaming down on the world without a care. Rin was sitting all alone by the side of a steady looking river, splashing her feet in the water to relieve them of the warm sticky feeling the hot day had induced on them. She was alone as Lord Sesshomaru was nowhere nearby; neither were Jaken or Ah-Un. They were off doing something too dangerous for Rin to follow so she was told to stay and wait their return.
As time went on, she saw caught sight of something floating with on the surface of the river and stood to see what it was. Small, white flowers were floating on the top of the water, drifting in the current towards her. “How beautiful!” She said with excitement in her voice as she decided that she would go and collect them for Sesshomaru-sama.
Carefully she walked into the river, pulling her kimono up to stop it getting too wet while her other hand picked up two of the flowers and held them tight in her hand. They were lovely to look at, pure white without a single blemish on them and silk like to the touch, their stems were long and strong.
With the water rushing around her feet, Rin slowly walked over the stones to collect more of the flowers as they drifting in the stream but as she took another step, her foot slipped on one of the stones and she was cast into a much deeper part of the river and she was quickly swept up in the swift current of the stream. Before she knew what had happened, she was already being carried along in the water, away from where she had been.
“LORD SESSHOMARU!!” She screamed as she tried to kick herself free of the current. The water wasn’t willing to give her up so quickly and dragged her down towards the riverbed, forcing her to panic for air, reaching out drastically in a futile attempt to be free. She was pulled and toyed with by the water, sometimes able to get her head above the water for a needed breath but unable to get loose of the stream’s mighty power.
Her small body was losing energy fast from struggling and soon she started to lose consciousness from the lack of breath, unable to fight anymore.
But, just before she completely lost her strength and gave in to the darkness, she saw something coming towards her really fast. Something that grabbed her arm in a firm grip and pulled her easily from the stream’s grasp and up to the surface.
Air rushed to her lungs as two huge, strong and warm arms surrounded her, embracing her and chasing off the fear that had been trying to take her away. Slowly her mind came back to her as she began hearing her name being called by a voice she knew.
It was her Lord Sesshomaru, and with the little energy she had left, she whispered his name back but then coughed up a mouthful of water that had been clogging her voice. More coughs came but soon she felt better and opened her eyes.
By the time she opened her eyes, the demon was fully relieved that she was okay. As she got her breath back, he tried not to frown at her. “I told you to be careful and not to go far into the river, Rin.” Sesshomaru said, his voice impartial as always but as he said it, his arms still remained around her.
Rin slowly raised a shaking hand toward him. “I got you flowers.” She explained, still holding the tattered remains of the two flowers she had caught before slipping into the deep. Her want to please her lord had ensured she kept tight hold of them even if the water had swept away most of their pretty petals.
He silently held her hand around the flowers and stared into her eyes as they began to drift close with exhaustion. “I am in no need of any flowers.” He said, watching as she fell asleep in his arm. “Because you are the only flower in my life, little Rin.” He said, lifting her up and planting a small kiss on her forehead.
The End.
