There were less than two months left until little Bedbug would be welcomed into the world and Hawk Eye and Ambrosia would become proud fathers. Family and friends were gathered to shower them with gifts and well-wishes as they entered parenthood. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, but instead Hawk and Ambrosia found themselves having to comfort the very hormonal surrogate mother.“Shhh, Fly, it’s okay,” Hawk patted her shoulder as she sobbed over a pile of baby clothes.
“But they’re so CUTE!” Firefly bawled, her face a pathetic mess of tears and running eyeliner. “This...this is the luckiest baby in the world!” She grabbed one of the onesies and buried her face into it, unwittingly smearing tears and snot into it.
Ambrosia cringed and looked at his husband over the blubbering mare. “We’re replacing that.”
“Firefly, get over yourself!” Galaxy Guard barked from the corner in which she had been sulking. “It’s not even your baby!”
“Shut the FUCK up!” Firefly suddenly swiveled around, hissing and spitting angrily. “Gal, I am SICK and TIRED of your GODDAMN ATTITUDE!”
Hawk and Ambrosia ducked away in fear and shot each other a glance.
“Next time, let’s skip the shower and order supplies online.”

I am assuming this was one of the moments that lead Firefly to her decision that divorcing Galaxy and kicking her completely out of her life is the best thing to do.
