Description Hmm it appears I haven't mentioned my (fairly) new comic project in here.
So here's my new characters Jousia Muotka and Katariina Lehto. Jousia is quite heavily based on my witch oc Juoksa. A modern version of him, so to speak. He lives in an apartment in a Finnish city and pays his bills by working as a clairvoyant/healer. Besides that he helps not-so-ordinary people.

Katariina is his neighbour from the floor below. She's a student who "by accident" learns about Jousia's profession as a witch. Adventures ensue.

The cat is called Ulriikka. She doesn't belong to either of them, she just likes to visit Jousia every now and then, and steal things from Katariina.

I got this urge to do a Copic piece the other day, thus this. It was quite fun even though I almost went crazy with the carpet. This is from Jousia's apartment.
If you want to know more about this story, check out the naapurit tag in my tumblr. Naapurit (neighbours) is a work name for this story, as I have yet to come up with a proper name.

I love the angle and carpet. The scene has a wonderful, comforting sense of 'home' in it. It feels like you could be right there with them as they go about their lives. <3

On kyllä upea matto! Ja muutenkin näyttää tosi hyvältä miljöö kuten hahmotkin, vaikka kuvakulma onkin haastava (ainakin minulle? ). Kissakin on kovin söpö. =3= Hienoa työtä kaiken kaikkiaan!

Loving their names ooh <3 kunnon suomalaisia nimiä (vanhoi ainaki, eikä varmaan alunperin kyll suomalaisia mutt no jah, pidän erittäin paljon silti)
The angle looks fantastic, lovely atmosphere and colors so warm and cozy now I want to live there.. or I'll just steal Jousia's carbet, yes that's the plan x3

Jousia on tietääkseni alkuperältään suomalainen, Katariina ja Ulriikka ovat muista kielistä.
Jousialla on kaunis antiikkinen takka sen kämpässä. siinä on sit hyvä keitellä pannukahvit xD

I love the look of this. An overview is a lot more interesting. It shows the pretty carpet and what both characters are doing.

My favourite part is, of course, Ulriikka the cat. uwu Such a cute, fluffy thing. Goodness.

Thank you. Yeah I had sketched this kind of scene couple of times before from the normal eye-level perspective and it looked really boring so I never finished those.

I adore your Witch, and a full story with a modern version of him makes me very happy!
And this drawing is glorious, I love the colours, the textures (like the pile of wood) and the perspective... The carpet, in my opinion, was well worth the struggle.

Tää on tosi hieno ja kiva kuva! Aina kiinnostaa, kun on paljon tuollasia arkipäiväisiä pikkujuttuja mukana (kirjat, lehdet, ym.) 
Tulee kuitenkin mieleen että kuvaa olisi voinut vielä parantaa laittamalla jonnekin tummempia varjoja, että olisi tullut selkeämmin syvyyseroja. 

Joo, hyvä antaa kehitysehdotuksia, kun itse en ensinkään tee taustoja..:--D 

Mutta ihana kuva siis. (: Ja perspektiivi on makoisa, ah. (Ja kuten aiemminkin sanottu, niin kissa on supersuloinen <3)

hm. looks cool. but but but..that cat is the fluffiest most beautiful cat, and it's amazing. I'd like to see more of the cat. Don't get me wrong, I love your works so far, but I want that cat.

Ooo ihana kuvakulma! Ja tuo matto on kyllä kaunis : D muutenkin tuolla on vaikka mitä kivoja pieniä yksityiskohtia! Tykkään kans miten jotenkin rauhallinen ja luonnollinen tunnelma tässä on jotenkin.
