2nd comment! Wow, nice work on the tails! I think she's very cute and I love the subtle fur texture you put on her tails in particular. The light source in the middle, between her hands, is a good touch and adds a lot of interest to the picture. Some suggestions: the tails' outlines are too stark and dark, I think. Right now, they don't look very realistic or 3D in particular. Try to think of the tails as furry cylinders. The dark outlines can be toned down quite a lot. Try using blues/greys for the outlines if possible.
Her face and breasts can also do a bit more shading, especially since there's a light source. The parts of her face and chest that are "curvier" and higher and closer to the light source should be lighter, whereas the rest of her body and face can be darker. A reference would help a lot too!

Oh, I like this. The colours are well selected and the tails are nicely shaded. They look fuzzy <3
However, the line art is a bit distracting, particularly on the tails. I would try changing the line art to be a matching colour for whats inside it (like you did for the blue ball). Maybe not on all of the pictures, but definitely the tails.
Overall, the expression and pose are nicely done ^^

you achived some very nice texture in this piece- makes the art more energetic!
Now, I am not bothered by the rough lines. The hair looks great with the lines- but perhaps if you added in the highlights with that same line work to give more definition. I guess for th etails- what the other poster said was correct- its drawing the tufts and not just a bunch of lines for anime style, but perhaps if you incorporated both in the piece it could look stronger- have the tufts of the tail blocked in, but the lines tracing it has the loose quality you have here.
See, I trace with illustrator- so all my lines are smooth. Its just nice to see looser inked images.
But the texture in the tails I simply love!!

Cute! I love how happy she looks, and how the tails frame her into a full looking picture. Gives the viewer more to take in than a simple portrait would give.
The lines look very rough, though. It makes the whole thing look rather undefined. Scratchy lines like this tend to make a picture look blurry, if not static-y, like a bad TV. It makes it a lot more difficult to make out what's happening, and prevents a picture from popping. In anime in particular, you really need to let things pop, since there's less emphasis on facial details and such.
Speaking of popping, while I like the design of her eyes, the colors int hem look very flat. As a result, they don't have the smooth look that eyes should. They seem painted on, rather than body parts with depth. It also makes her smile look a little less genuine, as her eyes lack life.
Hands are tough, so I won't rag on them much, but as a quick mention, they would look a lot more natural if the fingers stuck out in a few more directions. Right now they appear limp, which seems unusual for someone handling magic. That seems like the sort of thing someone should be putting force and concentration into. They should also be a little larger. Hands are typically around the size of one's face (a little smaller), when the fingers are splayed out.
I think her hair in particular could benefit from a bit more definition. Although hair is, in fact, made up of strands in real life, it tends to bunch together in such a way that each one doesn't necessarily stand out. In a cartoony style, such as anime, this is doubly so, as the hair should appear at least as minimalized as the face and body of a person. Usually the best way to handle this is to put as much emphasis on the shape, of the hair, and certain clumps, rather than each individual piece. Hair can still look natural as long as the curves of the overall shape make it clear that the mass isn't solid.
Some good examples: fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201…
I've found that focusing on making bangs with personality really help the matter, as you have a lot of extra room around there to make things stick out and flow in interesting ways, without making the rest of the head look too busy and vague. The top of the head, in particular, should be pretty clear of lines, as that's where the light is usually falling.
Good work here, though. Keep it up! She's quite adorable.

No problem! I'm glad I was able to help.
Fur is tricky in anime, for just that reason. You've generally got to focus on a few defining tufts, like on here: jimhillmedia.com/mb/images/upl…
It's pretty similar to human hair, really. It's just that that the shaping portions are likely to have a bit more zig-zag to them.

The gradient background really adds a lot! Seriously, it makes it look like her magical glowing ball is illuminating her surroundings. It's a neat effect!
