Okay anyway, so a while back, I was discussing weasels and kamaitachi with my favorite dweeb and I felt the urge to draw a couple designs for weasel characters. Some really quick descriptions of both:

Zephyr - Always carries a small sickle in her mouth. Her powers are far nastier than her gentle-sounding name would imply; she can slash her sickle in front of her head and send out razor-sharp blades of wind to tear into enemies like much larger, more painful paper cuts. Her weasely body is a bit stumpy on account of still being a babby. She's pretty sweet... just beware that she DOES in fact have quite a good defense mechanism. Also, random fun fact: "zephyr" is my all-time favorite word. :')

Johnny - I've always loved jack-in-the-boxes and wanted one as a character. What do weasels and jack-in-the-boxes have anything to do with each other? Well, there actually IS a connection. If you can guess it, congrats! You're an expert on jack-in-the-boxes just like me. Most people just name jack-in-the-boxes "Jack" so he's called Johnny because I fuckin love that name, man. Johnny's a bit of a recluse and grumpy, so he's basically similar to Oscar the Grouch. He's always hiding in his box (no one's quite sure how he easily travels around with it), but should some curious sap turn the crank on the box, he'll spring out and give 'em a good scare. He's not actually a complete jerk though, he'd just rather be left alone and gets sick of people understandably making fun of his stupid hairstyle. His body isn't literally a spring nor is he like... fused with the box. He's just wearing a striped shirt and can hop in and out of his box and walk around whenever he wants. But fuck that shit. He's a bit too cranky.

I thought of Johnny over a year ago actually and just now thought of a design, but this is also why he's slightly more developed than Zephyr. I intentionally wanted one of them to be a little more detailed and odd while the other is more plain and normal-looking. Their sizes also aren't to scale here - Johnny and his box are... rather large and Zephyr is a small child who doesn't quite come up to the top of his box when it's closed. They also aren't really intended to be Sonic fancharacters, just "general" characters.

Excuse the sketchiness and messiness, it's how I prefer to draw lol. These are just quick design sketches anyhow. I might do more character design things like this in the future.

Also let me be honest here, I will probably only draw these guys once, like I do with everything ahahaha ;;
