Description I know my gramma, whose rose book this was, would appreciate my working from her gifts on a toy-design-related art. My gramma was a great appreciator and patron of the arts whose family produced talented artists of every kind. Her husband, my grandfather, hand-crafted toys that are still revered by the adults and still enjoyed by the family kids three and four generations on.

Also, rose shapes! Who knew.

Wow, that's just lovely! And so is the story.

The color in her hair is just beautiful. Is that watercolor?

Thank you! You're right, Venus was painted mostly with watercolors though there are some washable markers in the mix to add some of that unnatural neon brightness that is so hard to get with certain pigments.
