History:

Born in a small town just a few miles from Tokyo, Kang Taeil grew up lonely most of his days. His mother, a small Japanese woman, died at childbirth, and left his father to take care of him. His politician father was devastated by the death of his wife, and instead left Taeil in his wife's hometown, with a relatively nice apartment, and a caretaker. Taeil reminded him of his late wife too much for him to be there for the child all the time. It was shitty, but the father left for Korea, with Taeil barely 5 years old at the time. As he grew up, his small resentment of his detached and absent father grew, and Taeil developed a sense of self reliance, wanting to fend for himself so that he wouldn't have to depend on his father to be there for him. There came a time, around Taeil entered middle school, that attitude led him to asking his caretaker to teach him how to cook and fend for himself.

Cooking seemed like such a menial and mundane task to Taeil before, but once he got down to it, it was almost love at first meal. Taeil's interest in making his own dishes and meals grew, while his dependence on his caretaker diminished. Soon, the caretaker came once a month to check on Taeil, and sometimes every two. Taeil got what he wanted, to be able to take care of himself -- but just not his housing, which he didn't mind. High School rolled around, and with money he had saved, he opened his own food stand in front of his complex, not too far from school. He enjoyed inviting friends and classmates to the stand and have a meal, to laugh and have fun. However, Taeil made more enemies than friends, through his wisecracking ways and sharp tongue, paired with his temperamental attitude, he got into many fights, some with knives that caused him to be suspended multiple times, which meant more time at the stand, which he didnt mine. Though, it proved to be too much for him to go to school and do what he loved and act out., so his attendance dwindled in his second year, and ultimately led him to being held back a year, being 18 and still in the second year.

In order to prove to his counselor and himself that he was going to be more active in school, he bit his tongue and joined a club -- the Gardening Club -- hoping he'll learn something about growing herbs or something, and one thing was stipulated in his agreement -- that he'd behave himself and not get into anymore trouble. Knowing Taeil, the trouble wouldn't take too long in finding him, Hopefully he wouldn't get into too much shitty situations.
