In that case, you could post a journal with links to the original source.
Think of it this way:
You work really, really hard on making some delicious food. I dunno, ham or something. You want to share the ham with all your friends and see their happy faces when they taste it.

Someone steals your ham and now you can't see what people think of it.
Wouldn't you prefer that person to rec. that they go to you instead?
