Nice!!!! And I'm guessing the second didn't either when Rocket snapped at her. XD Who was the unlucky one to have to bust Rocket out of jail this time, (and have to do so by getting past Judy?) XD

I'm fairly certain our favorite raccoon would be carrying enough hardware to level the entirety of the ZPD without too much trouble. I mean, you got tranqs vs HE shells and whatever the hell he wants to carry. Not much challenge there XD

But they don´t own X-Men or Spiderman... and they didn´t create Star Wars. For my PoV, they just bought it.

Officially they do own X-Men and Spider-Man, they just don't currently own the movie rights to them.

And probably never will (hell, Fox could even just buy half of Marvel; X-men films are rising, and Marvel films now have to compete with DC and, after christmas, Tansformers and Harry Potter again.

And the Kong/Godzilla, and Warcraft (they ain´t gonna stop at Orcs and Humans only!), and Dungeons and Dragons... well, maybe the last one not. It depends of the campaign selected for the film. If its Dragonlance, good. If its Forgotten Realms (and Baldur´s Gate, better), good! If it´s Dark Sun, eh. It´s just Fallout without guns nor magic.

If they made a Dimensions-game with D&D, they could do it. Dragonlance, Mystara, Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Eye of the Beholder...

In truth cinematic universes are nothing new...Universal did it with Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, and The Wolfman back in the 30's, 40's and 50's.

But still movies like, Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, House of Frankenstein, and House of Dracula, are where crossover cinematic universes started.
Shoot, you could almost consider Van Helsing a modern version of that universe...

Logical, Lego Dimensions still has over 6 pack waves left, the new Angry Birds among that. Disney can´t compete against that. And if Universal wants to create their own "crossover game"... Star Wars and Marvel are good, but Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Conan the Barbarian and all those are way, WAY cooler.

Pootisman90 In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2016-05-11 16:33:22 +0000 UTC]
They´ll probably be forced. Half of Dimensions owns the world, and the other half is as powerful as Disney. If they can´t buy both franchises (for the moment, of course), they borrow them.

Considering Lego Dimensions is mostly a Warner Bros game(The Lego Movie, DC Superheroes, Scooby-Doo, The Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz), it might be a while...

And Middle-Earth is as respected as Star Wars (the hobbit could have been in Once Upon a Time, but it´s not old enough). Hey, do you thing The War of The Worlds could be featured in Once Upon a Time?

Nah, it's too sci-fi, not fairy tale. I'd sooner see something like Narnia be adapted to that show, than that.
Now there was talks of a crossover between the Marvel movies and Star Wars at one time.

Pootisman90 In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2016-05-12 06:20:36 +0000 UTC]
Narnia is basically what happens after LOTR (remember, Tolkien made Middle Earth as a precursor of Earth, like the Hyborian Age).
Wait a moment...
Do you think Conan could fit in the show¿

Pootisman90 In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2016-05-13 18:12:35 +0000 UTC]
Why not? Epic hero, eldritch monsters, wizards, sympathetic elephant-men... Cthulhu! Besides, it would make much more sense than, say, Merida or Elsa (the Hyborian age is basically the Paleolithic).

Doctor-Why-Designs In reply to Pootisman90 [2016-05-13 18:37:03 +0000 UTC]
Two words. Copyright ownership.
The rights to used Merida and Elsa are already owned by Disney which in turns owns ABC, allowing the creators of Once Upon a Time to adapt them.
The last Conan film was produced by Lionsgate and Sony. Disney would have to buy the rights to use the character themselves, which I doubt after the Lionsgate's film essentially flopped.
I guess I'm looking at it more from a business angle, rather than the story angle.

Buy? You now there´s something called agreement right? Besides, Conan films are from Universal, and the character himself is as old as the Cthulhu Mythos (1932). Granted, its no War of the Worlds, but D&D would´nt just exist if Conan had copyrights...

Doctor-Why-Designs In reply to Pootisman90 [2016-05-14 13:18:57 +0000 UTC]
There is one thing being influenced by a previous source, and another downright copying. The guy who created D&D cited Conan's creator as one of his major inspirations, however he almost got into legal trouble with Tolkien Enterprises for using names like 'Hobbit' and 'Balrog' when the game first came out. To avoid legal action, they changed the names to Halfling and Balor, respectively.
Most of the stories that have been adapted by ABC for Once Upon a Time, has at one time been used by Disney at some point, either in small scale or big scale.
I'd actually see them sooner adapting Tarzan to the story than Conan, since the studio used him for one theatrical film, two direct to video films, and one TV series.

Warner Bros. says otherwise, but you are right. But what about, well, Beowulf? Yes, I know that the film version is basically 300 with magic and viking, but it´s much, much older than Arthur (is the oldest saxon poem, from over 500 a.C.). No one can own THAT (except the United Kingdom Royal Family, if they want, or the Norse countries).
