Well, despite my better judgement, I couldn't stop at four parts and had even more ideas for background beasts. I have a lot coming up in a few days, so this is the first of a new batch of kaiju. You'll notice with this and future batches that I want them to feel like they came out of an Ultraman show, so you'll be seeing a lot of Ultraman kaiju influences here.

Top Left - One of the few crustacean kaiju made for Cavaterra, I decided to base it on coconut crabs since they have potential to be kaijufied. I emphasized the shell and claws, the latter being based on a few Monster Hunter creatures for spice. And to maintain the 'man in a suit' motif I subscribe to, I made the legs close to kaiju like Ganimes and Onibaba.

Top Center - Another primate may seem like one too many, but one look at Philippine Tarsiers won me over. I essentially took one of these rather creepy animals and gave it a body like Toho's King Kong, with a really long tail and Long wrinkly fingers to boot.

Top Right - In most kaiju properties, a Godzilla expy is inevitable, but for me, I decided to be interesting and make the Marvel Godzilla the basis for this kaiju. Aside from that, I gave it the colors and small touches from old retro T-Rex toys from the 80s, and a crest and back sail based on Plumed basilisks.

Bottom Left - This one might be a bit controversial, but I wanted a kaiju based on Victorian era dinosaurs because I liked how bulky and weird those paintings are. To feel like a kaiju, I gave it horns and a back sail like the controversial slurposaurs from the old days, and the color and prickliness of thorny devil lizards.

Bottom Center - Another fish kaiju to add to the net, this time, based on a codfish. To stand out from the pufferfish kaiju I made a while back, I based its stature on both Gubira from the original Ultraman and Gigan for the hooked hands and legs.

Bottom Right - This might be the weird one of this batch. I wanted something with a false head, kinda like Raiju from Pacific Rim. But instead of the 'head' opening up like a flower, I decided to have the tongue be the true face while the 'head' is like a shell, like one of the background monsters from Monsters Inc. Other touches include a body like Goliath from Daigoro vs Goliath, and the second pair of arms with spikes from Predator 2018's concept art.

These designs aren't fully set in stone, and I would really appreciate any kind of feedback, tidbits, anything that could help refine them some. Especially with color, since I'm personally not very good with colors. Anyhoo, I look forward to seeing what y'all have to say.
