Yes i like your style very much. I am curious - what kind of brush / filter do you use to get this canvas/oily paint effect with those "blured" edges?

I tried different brushes to and also created some myself .. but my brush edges are mostly very hard. I am not talking about soften edges but this effect here:

Thanks !! These were made with the chalk tool from the tool presets by zhu zhu [Β  zhuzhu.deviantart.com/ ]Β  i think you can download them from hereΒ  [Β  zhuzhu.deviantart.com/art/Z-PS… ]Β  so its one of the tool presets that saysΒ  z-dry media 50 chalkΒ  . Thats the exact brush/tool preset for the spots in the image you are showing me. And i think most of it was done with just this brush .
I cant remember exactly but maybe i had opacity control to pen pressure, and i may have played around with the flow for the brush. Some other extreme soft parts where probably done with the smudge tool with a hairy kind of brush assigned to it.

Awesome! Thx for the link, i will give those a try! I mean the brush collection is the secret of every photoshop professional - so thanks for sharing
I have a decent collection of about 40 used common brushes by now and a large collection of about 300 (with silouette brushes like smoke, fire, buildings etc.) too. But i always find more and more interesting stuff - basically the possibilities are limitless. You can see my small palette on the right side here: youtu.be/KWAaTyE7lJg?t=46

Have a nice evening!

Nice mate, they are looking like cool brushes. I personally dont use a big variety of them, so i have a huge collection but mainly working with the round brush and some textured ones to add noise and texture easier than what could be done with the round brush.

Keep up!!
